How to Initiate a Content Strategy for an Emerging or Established Business

The journeys companies go through, either emerging or established, are more or less the same. Eventually, their goal is one and that is providing optimum value to their customers irrespective of the products or services they offer. Though quality is important and is one aspect that needs to be maintained throughout without compromising with the outcome. I have seen companies succumb under pressure resulting in internal chaos. Isn’t it a great idea to accomplish the tasks in each project in a systematic manner. It all comes under project management. However, my focus here is not that but about content management.

Content Strategy is Key to Any Project

Now that you need to gain maximum mileage whenever a project has been completed, you should not do the same in a hurried and hush manner. There comes the content strategy that tells you what all outcomes could be possible from a successful project completion. It is another thing that there are lessons to learn in case of a project’s failure.

So, let us get into the business by focusing on the content strategy alone.

I would like to define a content strategy as a process of determining when, where and what kind of content to be published.

  • When - The exact timelines you create for publishing content in order to get maximum exposure in the form of views, likes and replies.

  • Where - Is it going to be published on your own website or on social media?

  • What - This is the most important of all. It’s all about creating the kind of document you want to publish. So, it is going to be typically a blog post, a case study, a whitepaper, or just a social media post.
